Cruise reportedly earned $75 Million within the last year making him the highest-paid actor in Hollywood. Whether or not Katie Holmes will receive half of the actor's earnings, however, is yet to be determined.

Thanks to his success in the box office, Tom Cruise topped the list after not even making top ten in the 2011. This achievement is mainly due to last fall’s Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol, earning a cool $700 Million worldwide and making Cruise a great deal of profit. He also cashed in big for his upcoming sci-fi film Oblivion, which will hit theaters next April.

With $38 Million more than the two actors who tied for second place, Leonardo DiCaprio and Adam Sandler, Cruise’s career is at an all time high.

Leonardo DiCaprio
DiCaprio and Sandler earned $37 million in the last year, placing second despite their somewhat unsuccessful movie releases.

Adam Sandler
Mark Wahlberg ranks third with $27 million in earnings and is expected to make more thanks to his box office hit, Ted.

The top paid male actors in Hollywood are determined based on upfront pay, profit, residuals and endorsements.
